6.1.2-How Did She Die?
Anna Garcia in conclusion had type 1 diabetes, a UTI, sickle cell anemia, and heart disease. She died of Diabetic Ketonacidosis. This was found in her medical history that she had acidic blood because of too much glucose that built up in her blood. It is also found that she had a very high glucose level in her blood at the time of her death. In which ties into the fact that she was trying to inject insulin into her leg several times but subsequently failed. She had type 1 diabetes in which her body was unable to produce insulin effectively. While her blood became acidic her heart stopped functioning and she died.
